Music collective 1P4E has released the striking visual for “Not Around,” a project that proves the power of collaboration and creative connection. After the original concept for the video was abandoned because of logistical challenges, the team turned to relationships built over years of working together. Niceymost reached out to a director he had collaborated with nearly seven years earlier on a short film. That connection ultimately introduced the team to videographer Ryan Piwarski, creating a new direction that brought the vision to life.
The same collaborative energy shaped the song itself. Kuji Young joined the record early in its development and delivered a heartfelt performance that gave the opening verse even greater emotional depth. Years later, Tosha Marie became part of the project through a connection made by KA3, offering a perspective that balances vulnerability with reassurance. Together, their voices transform the track into a moving conversation about anxious love instead of a traditional love song. Now officially released, “Not Around” captures the fear that can come with loving someone so deeply that the possibility of losing them becomes an overwhelming source of anxiety.
Inspired by Sam Nelson’s “Now & Forever” for its storytelling and perspective, along with Leon Bridges’ “Motorbike” for its color and atmosphere, the visual beautifully follows the progression of love and the desire to spend every possible moment with someone special.
