Bronx, NY emcee/producer Joey Trap presents “Money”, the self-produced single from his new album Bear With Me. Moving to San Diego at age 16 to finish high school, he has since released well over 20 albums spanning a diverse range of hiphop styles including several viral releases which have garnered him a sizable online following (stream “Fiesta” on Spotify). “Creating Bear With Me was one of the best musical experiences I’ve had in a while, driven by my deep appreciation for the golden era of hip hop,” Joey says. “Focusing deeply on the production of the beats and sound selection I aimed to capture the essence and nostalgia of the early 90s/00s boom bap era, while also pushing myself to make it feel new and unfamiliar. Lyrically Drawing inspiration from influential artists like Wu-Tang Clan, Big Pun, Mobb Deep, and Andre 3000, I strive to create a unique blend of my influences that represents my own artistic expression through perhaps relatable (or not) lyrics.” Bear With Me is out now on Young Rich Squad/Orchard.
