The Queens, NY-raised singer first made waves with the release of her debut single “LVLUP” in the spring of 2016, immediately catching the attention of fans and tastemakers alike. Upon the song’s release, The FADER described the ferocious track as “barbed and wavy…Liana Bank$ is all swag and noise.” Bank$ kicked off the summer with the release of “Leave Me Alone,” which ELLE Magazine described as “impossibly cool” while naming it one of their top 9 songs to heat up the summer.
In the lead up to Insubordinate’s release, Liana Bank$ gave fans a bigger sneak peak into the project with the release of songs ‘Table For One,” “Benji” and “Plead The Fifth,” which was played on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio last week as Ebro’s “Discovered on Apple Music” track of the week. Bank$’s songwriting smarts have not gone unnoticed, with acclaim and attention from the likes of The FADER, Complex, Noisey, Nylon, Paper, Galore, Wonderland, VIBE, Solange’s Saint Heron, Revolt, Afropunk and much more.
