If you really know music then you know exactly who Jason “Jay E” Epperson is.  The multi-platinum diamond selling producer who helped orchestrate the success of the St. Louis sound through Nelly and  the St. Lunatics has had a remarkable career behind the scenes but now his stepping up to the front.

At his turn at bat, Jay E proves that he is powerful enough to stand alone with his star-studded cast of Midwest stars.  The remarkable and highly respected Tef Poe joins Jay E on Smokers Anthem.  As the ever likable STL favorite Chingy makes a memorable appearance Fresco Kane, Murphy Lee, P.R.E.A.C.H, Keem and others all deliver for the star producer.  Jay E sat down with Kevin C. Johnson of the St. Louis Post Dispatch and gave more insight about his highly anticipated Jay E Presents project.

“This is my own project,” he says. “It’s all my own content, and I’m totally the one in control. Now I’m doing everything the way I want it done. I’ve always had a vision. I didn’t realize how much power I actually have as an artist.”

Like most producers turned personalities Jay E is taking advantage of his platform and longstanding relationships to present a different perspective of  St.  Louis.  “This project is definitely for the city and it’s the first time everyone has come together like this and I hope it doesn’t end with me.  It’s great when artists put their egos aside to support what the city can become on a national level.  I’m really happy with all the artists I worked with and I can’t wait for the world to embrace their artistry.”  Follow Jay E on IG @jayebeats314
