Veteran wide receiver Terrell Owens has confirmed on his Twitter account that he has been released by the Seattle Seahawks in their latest round of roster moves. Owens was in competition with veteran Braylon Edwards for the remaining wide receiver spot, but Edwards outshined him in practice and in the preseason games, according to NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal.
With plenty of game film to watch, it will be hard for any team in contention to buy into Owens after the inconsistency of his hands and his effort this preseason.
There will likely be a team that tries the star out, but it will not be an elite job.
