Desmond Omar Murchison (aka Dez’o) was born in Queens, New York in 1986 before eventually moving to Elizabethtown, North Carolina to live with his grandmother when he was 13. This could have been considered somewhat of a setback. In small towns, there are usually only two options for activities to get involved in either school or trouble. Even through the hard knock street life, Dez’o still never lost his love for music as he continued to perfect his craft writing with his cousin and listening, learning, and being inspired by great artists such as Snoop Dog, Scarface, Devin the Dude, Outkast, Jay-Z, Notorious BIG, and Tupac.
His words became lyrical masterpieces seen through the hearts of those willing to feel his smooth lyrical sounds, verses, and R&B hooks. This unique talent eventually caught the eye of several artists that Dez’o is working alongside tearing up the airwaves. In 2009, he promoted hit single, “Y’all Know What It Iz,” with platinum selling artists, Cassidy and ghost write for a majority of Snoop from The Wire‘s, highly anticipated album. He is currently promoting his new Mixtape, Lost Mind, which has been released in 2011.
Now Dez’o is working with General D.V., whose 19 yrs of experience in the music business with Dez’o witty talent and charisma makes for a breath of fresh air that the rap world has yet to see. Here is his first street single for 2017, “Fukizyoudoing” from the upcoming Govarmynt Officials Entertainment record label.
