Over the recent years, songwriters have stepped from behind the curtain of the music industry to hit the scene as successful solo artists. Conte, a writer who has penned hits for artists ranging from Jamie Foxx to Shakira, took that step after linking with Compound, an LA-based music and fashion collective. Their debut project “The Cook Up” showcases Conte and several other close collaborators including platinum producer DJ Pain 1 and rapper OG Harlem.
