Beauty queen inspires others to embrace uniqueness with new music

LOS ANGELES, CA – Be who you are.

It’s the single driving motivation behind everything Mulan V does-an edgy, catchy LA native that
blends flow with vanity, fashion and vogue. And it’s the consistent message that she continues
to pour out through her music and through which she knows others around the world will come

“We all have our own things going on, and I just want to encourage people to be unique in your
own way,” Mulan said. “I want people to understand that you don’t need to change who you
are. Be who you are. I want my music to show that. I’m proud of who I am and I want to project
that to others.”

Mulan’s life philosophy is one that stems from growing up in Los Angeles, California. She said
she remembers vividly the contrast between real and fake where she grew up, and constantly
found herself gravitating to real people. She loved meeting people and experiencing different
things. And as she developed her passion for music and singing over the years, she found that
her voice was one that had a unique perspective.

But it’s not just music through which she spreads this message. She also lives this out through
her own unique fashion and style – a medium through which she encourages other women to
express themselves. In fact, she created her own business called Mulan V Beauty, through
which she helps other women find ways to express their own unique style and vibe.

“I definitely like to stretch the bar as far as fashion,” Mulan said. “A lot of females come to me
for advice on hair, clothes, makeup, etc. I’m different in a good way. I try different hair colors or

something, why not do it? So go ahead and express yourself. Don’t be stuck in a box. If you
want to try something, then try it. Why not push boundaries? I hope the way I live inspires

At the end of the day, however, it’s her music that truly drives her. She’s been making her mark
on the west coast hip-hop scene for a few years now – sharing the stage with the likes of Snoop
Dogg, 2 Chainz and others. And her new single “Real One” is a club-inspired dance track that’s
already garnering support from club DJs as well as becoming a favorite amongst club-goers. The
street buzz has landed her club hosting opportunities and live appearances.

“Being on a stage is like being at home in my comfortable space,” Mulan said. “It’s fulfilling and
natural. Every day when I wake up, I hear tunes, musical notes, songs and melodies which I
relate to acting, characters, movement, rhythm and song. I am convinced that I am destined to
entertain, and it is part of my fiber and being.”
