Where did the name Snowy come from?
It’s my birth name so I rolled with it.

You’re from Texas? Where exactly in Texas and what was it like growing up there?
I’m from Paris, Texas. Born and raised. I honestly had the best childhood, it’s just different growing up in the country.

Were there any musical outlets where you are from? Talk to us about your journey and what it took to get where you are now?

Not really, there was choir so I just channeled my energy there. It’s funny because I look at rap as me picking back up my childhood singing dreams.

If you could describe your music style in 3 words what would it be?
Raw, sultry and original.

Any female influences?
I’m influenced by the Lord honey, but I love Nicki’s wordplay and young MA’s delivery. Love lady London too.

For any new listeners, what are 3 songs that they must listen to from Snowy?
“PARLAY,” “HILARY BANKS,” and “HAPPY SHIT”. a little variety.

What message do you look to depict through your music?
I write my music to remind myself and other women that no matter what, to always bet on you, be you, & most importantly if a situation or a person isn’t serving u then it’s got to go.

Happy, that’s the goal.

Don’t text me go text your bitch, bitch (Mike Jones).

What is a message that you want to depict to other females or aspiring female rappers?
Do that, any dream u got. Chase it. And find peace in knowing you’re timing isn’t God’s timing.

Is your music an outlet? What drove you to the music industry or creating music?
Yes, it’s lowkey meditation drowning in a beat and creating. But SXSW inspired the rap career.

Who are some of your musical influences?
I’m inspired by sounds to be honest. J Cole is inspiring Bc goes against the current, I’ma a Leo so I have to be different. Lots of master P too (laughs).
